Jones joined Everton as an U12, where he won the U18 Premier League, and signed his first professional contract with the club in 2014. Jones went on to feature for multiple EFL sides over the years. He would also captain Wales from the U16s to the U21s.
On 4 August 2020, Jones joined Bolton Wanderers on a one-year contract with an option of an extension. He made his debut in the first round of the EFL Cup against Bradford and played a key role in the club’s promotion to League One.
